Land of snow and ice

My rotations in vet school have landed me in Milroy, Indiana for the next few weeks. I was supposed to arrive Monday, but the impending snow storm pushed me to leave a little earlier. Here’s hoping it won’t be as bad as they say! I’m a southerner and rarely see snow, so it has already been interesting learning to ice skate in my truck. It was a bad sign when I got off the interstate and the first thing I saw was a line of snow and ice across the road, like a warning that things won’t be the same after this. It was amazing to see the snow blowing about and drifting across the road. Luckily these roads are straight and flat, not like the GA roads.  Onward Ho!

Bonus, I did venture out to the store to have some snacks in case of a snow-in, and I brought back PIZZA KING! My dad is originally from northern Indiana, so I’m familiar with it. I think it might be worth a freezing blizzard to have a little Pizza King.

I'm sure Glow is missing out on all this potential snuggle time, but she would get lost/frozen in this winter weather.
