And The Rains Came Down

So much for that dry spell I was hoping for. The rains havn't stopped and the pond finally gave up. Luckily we had already started fortifying the dam and the bridge on the other side, but even that couldn't hold back the flood. It looks like I'll have to wait a while to start rebuilding the pastures.

The silt fencing didn't stand a chance.

 

It looks like the drain pipes aren't clogged, but they just can't keep up with the flow. We tried adding some pipes to the surface of the pond and creating siphons, but the pipes wouldn't stay put.

This is on top of the dam. There was around 4 inches of water rushing across the top.
